Are Sellers Required to Respond to Repair Request?

The Seller may simply ignore the request. A repair request is no different from any other request to modify the purchase agreement, meaning, there is no obligation to answer it. But in this case, the RPA has explicitly addressed the question. Paragraph 14B (2) of the RPA states clearly that a Seller is not required to respond to a request for repairs. Having said that, a Listing Agent should always communicate with the Buyer's Agent as a courtesy at the very least. Everyone involved in a sales transaction appreciates clear communication.
